In our restaurant, you are not just a guest, but also a witness. Enjoy a culinary experience next to the glassmaking studio, where you can watch master glassmakers at work live until 3 p.m. We serve selected drinks in glassware from our production, some of which you can purchase in our shop. Gift vouchers for the restaurant can also be purchased from our team.

Restaurant Huť was opened in 2008 in the new glassmaking complex in Nový Bor, then under the name Restaurant Ajeto. The complex was built by the legendary master glassmaker Petr Novotný, co-founder of the Ajeto glassworks, who came up with a unique concept of connecting the glassworks with the restaurant.

The fi rst and second fl oors of the center are home to a museum with a view of the glass studio and a unique exhibition of glass art by Czech and international artists, creators and designers. An original roof by architect Leoš Bogar adds a distinctive architectural element to the museum, while the outdoor space features a sculptural work by academic artist and painter Ivo Rozsypal.

ORIGINAL SPACE

The interior of the restaurant was designed by architect and designer Bořek Šípek, who created original elements of the furnishings, such as unconventional lighting made of metal tubes decorated with hand-blown glass.

MORE THAN A RESTAURANT

The restaurant also includes a club ideal for corporate events, private and family celebrations, or cultural evenings such as the Glass Encounters. Every Monday, friends and guests gather here for popular pub quizzes, bringing fun and a lively atmosphere to the space. The club also includes three heated carom tables, as a reminder of one of the passions of the founder Petr Novotný.
