Restaurant Huť was opened in 2008 in the new glass complex in Nový Bor under the name Restaurant Ajeto. The center was built by the glass master and co-founder of the Ajeto glass factory, Petr Novotný, who came up with the concept of connecting a glass factory with a restaurant, which he encountered abroad, where tourism helps to keep traditional crafts alive. Directly from the table, you can watch master glassmakers at work daily till at least 3 p.m.

The Novotný Glass Center with a glass factory, museum and restaurant is a reconstruction of a former kindergarten according to the design of the architect and designer Bořek Šípek, who is also the author of the design of a number of elements of the restaurant's equipment, such as the non-traditional lighting made of metal tubes with glass decorations. Part of the building is a club intended for corporate and other events, where e.g. Monday pub quizzes are popular. It’s also home of the local billiard club with three heated carom tables.

On the first floor, there is a museum with a view of the hotshop and an exhibition of contemporary glass art from around the world. In 2015, the museum was expanded by a new floor with an original roof designed by architect Leoš Bogar, in which you will find the IGS History exhibition of works created in Nový Bor during International Glass Symposia since 1982. As part of IGS 2015, an outdoor sculpture by the academic painter Ivo Rozsypal was unveiled .
